1972 Mercedes 350SL. This car has quite the back story to go along with it. This Benz was the first of its style on display in New York, by Mercedes. Muriel Siebert who was the first woman to own a seat on Wall Street was the first owner of the car. She said in her memoir” as the first woman to own a seat on the New York Stock Exchange, I should have the first Benz of this style” , so through a friend she contacted the president of Merceds America, and was able to get this car. We have lots of documentation to go with the car, along with the letter that she was able to buy the car for one dollar when her lease ended. The car has a nice rust-free, silver exterior, with dark blue leather interior. The interior appears pretty much original, and still in good shape, with the exception of the carpet, which we have a new one that will go with the car. The car has a removable hard top, and original soft top( which needs replacing) . The chrome, glass, stainless etc. are in nice shape. The car runs and drives well for a 50+ year old car. This is a rare opportunity to own a vintage Benz, with quite the history. We also have a copy of Muriel Sieberts Memoir, of which she writes about this car, that comes with the purchase.
